The Democratic Alliance has confirmed that its former leader Helen Zille, is eligible to stand for the position of chair of the party’s Federal Council.

This means she will join three other candidates in the race for the job. This as the position of party leader Mmusi Maimane appears to be under attack.

Today, the Institute for Race Relations – where Zille is employed – tweeted that the DA should expel racist leaders, break off its alliance with the EFF and appoint ‘good’ leaders.
